Thankfully, this weekend was a perfect spring weekend at Crafted Together, which is hopefully a sign that the jinx has ended…Or maybe it’s just Minnesota and the weather is unpredictable….

Yikes! It’s been too long! So much has happened since the last post…..I guess I’ve been a little distracted….Let’s blame my new Print Gocco for the delay. Here’s what I’ve been up to:

Gocco Dolls

Here’s Max and Matilda

And Peter and Pearl

All of these little cuties are backed with beautifully printed fabric or vintage cashmere, stuffed with poly-fill, lined with rick-rack, with images printed on 100% colored cotton. Some of them have rattles, others have pockets, while some just look beautiful with their fancy fabric backs. They have been a blast to make….Quite addictive! I have a couple listed in the store and more listed on my Flickr page, so check them out when you have a chance:

When I’m not being distracted by my Print Gocco, I’ve been busy preparing for two of my upcoming shows:

CRAFTED TOGETHER - White Bear Lake, MN

This will be the first time I sale/show at these events, so my nerves are running amok. I’m also really excited to see some familiar faces, including:

Natalie and Friends
Love her stitched wall hanging, pillows and cute little hats!

The Handmaiden event was great. I met a lot of wonderful people and did a bit of shopping myself…Fun! Fun! Fun! In the meantime, here’s a bit of Fun! news…..

vita.mn
Is deemed as the “ultimate guide to what’s going on in the Twin Cities”, so you can imagine my excitement when this Twin Cities resource not only mentioned the Handmaiden’s event I just participated in as a great venue to search out locally made V-Day gifts, but specifically mentioned popsiedaisy, well…maybe you can imagine
You can read the whole article HERE

Handmaiden’s
The Minneapolis Handmaiden’s featured popsiedaisy, and the wonderfully talented Vanessa Kimball and Kitty Designs, on their blog in preparation for tomorrows event. Read what was said, HERE.

Put a sock on it mentioned that she digs the Gnome Knitter’s Critter…I love him too!

Popsiedaisy has also been included in a couple of Etsy Treasuries:

Ballentine VFW Post 246
2916 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls., 612-827-9065
www.the-handmaidens.blogspot.com

I’m so excited to see all of you and to visit with my crafting pals! I’m also pretty excited to just leave the house…I’ve been out of it for a week, stuck at home with a persistent cold that I couldn’t shake until yesterday. Never fret, I (amazingly) didn’t procrastinate. There will be loads of creations available at the show…Including (horns sounding) the new Deco Scarf

These scarves are made from a variety of deconstructed 100% wool sweaters. The material is felted, cut into strips and reconstructed with a strong zig-zag stitch. No two scarves will ever be the same. Excellent as a glam accessory for an night on the town, to dress up a simple tee or used practically as an extremely warm wool scarf. It can be paired with anything and will always look uber-fab. Looks great with whites, browns, blacks, greys….wool jackets, t-shirts, blazers, dresses, etc.

Here are a couple of other versions:

I’m looking forward to seeing and hearing from all of you soon…

Click HERE to check out the blurb. We L!O!V!E! Craft:, so this pretty cool for us. A special thank-you goes out to Natalie Zee Drieu, Craft:’s Senior Editor, for taking the time to mention us! BTW, have you checked out Craft: WOW! What an amazing magazine.

After the Craft: post, a similar post popped up on this site:

popsiedaisy has joined a couple of ETSY networking groups, including:
EcoEtsy - A great network of crafters who believe in reducing, reusing and recycling. Check out their blog for weekly tips - EcoEtsy Blog
EtsyMN - So many talented Minnesota crafters!
Yetsy - For the Etsy knitting and crocheting suppliers

Etsy has really made it easy to connect with like minded crafters. In just one month I have meet a TON of people. What a great way to start off the year.

That’s all for now. Best wishes!

It is so hard to believe that it was this time last year that I created the Knitter’s Critter. I’m stunned at how many of these little guys and their friends, the Secret Keepers and Critter Pouches, have found new homes. Wow! Thank you for making this such a blast!

For those of you who have wrangled your own Critter, please consider adding photos of your little guys working, playing, relaxing, whatever, to the brand-spankin-new popsiedaisy Flickr page. I’ve created a group page, specifically for these photos, so check it out when you have a second and add as many “action shots” as you see fit! -popsiedaisy Critter’s at Play Flickr Group Page

Here are a couple of photos to get you motivated…

Jano and her new buddy, Tweet
